A Day Before the Launch

April 23, 1990

Hi my name is Luke Castellan. I am an astronaut. Tomorrow I will go to space and install the Hubble Space Telescope created by Edwin Hubble. He created it so the telescope can see way further than normal telescopes. It can see galaxies and planets and stars and other things very far away. I can’t wait! It will launch tomorrow and install it right outside Earth’s atmosphere. I will be inside the Discovery rocket,(I have no idea why they called it like that) and go outside of Earth and install it.

Here in the space station in France, part of the ESA, are people who are just going bonkers. They are all as busy as bees. All setting everything for the Hubble, hopefully it wont get destroyed in the shuttle. But I think the shuttle will be destroyed after the Hubble will be set out of the atmosphere. Finally I get to experience what you feel in space. Maybe after I install the Hubble, I could go somewhere else like on the moon.

Just one more day. It sounds like not much but the time is slow. I wish I had fun. There is famous saying that most people know. It's time flies when you're having fun. It means that time goes fast when you are having fun. Right know I am super bored and not doing anything. So I'll just go home and enjoy a nice lunch.
